Great things still happen around us. Humanity still rises its wings of kindness, love and compassion. These days I will try to bring out some of them.
At The Bridge Center in Nottingham, I found a lovely community of volunteers who work together for serving the ones in needs. “Salaam Shalom Kitchen” is a great kindness – project which brings people together. Himmah and The Nottingham Liberal Synagogue build bridges between cultures, races, while healing some sorts of wounds. Their strong believe is that people are at the heart of they do. Salute and much respect to all of them for their great work on serving the world.
“You need an attitude of service. You’re not just serving yourself. You help others to grow up and you grow with them.” – David Green
“Himmah is a grassroots initiative that works on meeting the needs and aspirations of the wider community. Himmah has demonstrated its ability to deliver groundbreaking initiatives which further work on poverty, racial justice and educational inequalities within the city of Nottingham.
Himmah has sought from the outset to work for and alongside community residents of all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, a commitment clearly reflected in the areas that Himmah serve and organizes.” – Himmah Nottingham
The Nottingham Liberal Synagogue, formerly known as Nottingham Progressive Jewish Congregation, (NPJC), is a thriving Liberal community in the East Midlands. Their Synagogue is based in Sherwood, Nottingham.
Check out their website and you could find more charity projects where volunteers are involved in making a big difference on neighbourhood live, by compassion, mercy and kindness.
“When you give up yourself, that’s when you will feel the true spirit of Christmas. And that’s giving that’s serving others and that’s when you feel fulfilled.” – Joel Osteen
